Car park for 2017/18 - details below
Statement from Paul Holmes - Wednesdayite Director and Chairman - Car Park 2017/18

As previously advised the land is now owned by Penistone Hillsborough LLP - a Limited Liability Partnership linked to Eccelsfield based property developers Jaguar Estates Limited and Bridges Fund Management, and for the past 24 months has been purchasing adjacent land to make the site a better development prospect. They have now secured the land and will shortly be applying for planning permission. Published information about the development can be found here

I and the developers expected the current season to be our last with our lease terminating on 31 May 2017.  However I have been able to agree the principal terms to a new lease to at least 31 DECEMBER 2017. Beyond that the lease can be terminated with notice, I do not expect us to have it for a significant period past the new year.
I will be finalising the lease over the coming months and seeing if we can get further months agreed, but everything will be in the hand of the planners.
This then gives us a dilemna , do we sell permits just to 31/12/17 and then have it as a cash only car park if we get any extention or do we sell permits for the season with bank transfer refunds being made if we have to termnate early, We will be seeking car park permit holders views on this in June. We don't expect to be able to put permits on sale until sometime in July.

Your car park volunteers have no further details so we request you accept this and don't ask for further information, as you will just be directed to this webpage.

So Good News - we have the car park for you to use for part of next season.
