Some of our most popular and widely-read articles on the Wednesdayite website are our supporter blogs, where the thoughts, hopes and dreams of Wednesday fans are laid out for the world to read and enjoy.
Joe Crawthorn - one of our newest bloggers, brings his series of blogs 'Kop A Load of This' to Wednesdayite.com and starts off by telling us about his romance for the Wednesday:
"One nugget of advice I will always remember came from my dad’s best friend, on the day we were relegated to League 1 in the 02-03 season, he told me “Joe, I know it’s hard to be an Owl at the moment, but think in years to come, you will have seen the bad times and you will see the good times again, then you can tell your kids that you were there in the hard times and stuck it out to see Hillsborough bounce like in the 80’s”
Meanwhile, Joe Crann concentrates on Wednesday's matches so far in their preseason campaign in 'Let's Get Friendly':
"I know that there’s the endless debate about how much you can read into pre-season games. I know that if you win against ‘lower’ opposition then it’s expected and you should be winning, but if you lose then “It’s just a friendly”.
Finally for this week we have Richard Brook, who brings us a brilliant interview with Wednesday legend (and slightly-less-legendary manager) Chris Turner, in 'Wembley 1991 Lives With Me Forever':
"On that day in the spring of 1991, Turner fulfilled the dreams of football fans everywhere. The nine year old that I was at that time, literally went to bed at night and dreamt of winning a cup at Wembley, playing – in goal – for my team, playing for Wednesday. “It will live with me for the rest of my life”, Turner admits. “What a fantastic day that was. To play, at Wembley, for the team I support. It cannot get any better.”
