Information concerning the sale dates and cost of permits for 2019/20 have been sent to all last seasons permit holders, and over 85% of these have opened and read the email.
If you were a permit holder last season and not yet seen the email sent out last Sunday morning , then please check your Inbox and Spam box for this important email.
A further email will be sent to all 2018/19 permit holders at 8am on Saturday .
Following successful negotiations with The Sheffield College , we have secured an agreement to use their car park at the Hillsborough Campus on match days. Sincere thanks to them for being accommodating to our needs.
The Wednesdayite car park, on the current site, will be open for the last ever match day this Sunday from 9:30am. The car park's last usage will be on 30th June for Owls in the Park, after which it will be handed back to the developers to commence groundworks on the new retail park. See here for plans for the site,
We have searched the area for alternatives but as was expected a direct replacement cannot be found.
We are, however, currently close to getting an agreement The Sheffield College , Hillsborough Campus, to use their car park on match days.
However as the capacity will be around 200 cars(we currently have 237 permit holders plus 68 disabled permit holders). Also due to constraints of the car park we will NOT be able to offer any pay on the day parking. Parking will therefore only be available for season permits.
Should we secure an agreement, permits will only initially be available to persons who had a permit in 2018/19 and be subject to them joining Wednesdayite for 2019/20 before purchasing their permit on a first come first served basis.
We expect these to be on sale from 1st July 2019 so put his date in your diary.
Food bank collection -THIS SUNDAY
On Sunday we will be donating 50% of our car park takings as well as collecting cash and/or food donations for the foodbank of PXI Projects
The food bank would be grateful for the following:-
Richard Crooks, has written a book , "Wednesday v United The Sheffield Derby" (Pitch Publishing). Richard is a Wednesdayite! It has a Wednesdayite's emotions in it - the good and not so good!
The book is focussed on the rivalry between the city's two professional clubs - it brings out the intensity of the divide both in the present day and over the near 130 years the derby has been played. It will be a great read for all Wednesdayites young and not so young!
We are pleased to be able to offer to our members the ability to participate , free of charge (normally £20), in a 12 week education programme for Fit fans.
This is part of a partnership we are setting up with the Community Programme.
The participants meet in the South Stand Reception at 6:00pm full details can be found here
The fit club has assisted many Wednesday fans to lead a healthy lifestyle through education and fitness development during the programme which takes place at the Dooleys restaurant.
Thanks to all SWFC fans who parked in the Wednesdayite car park on Sunday for Owls in the Park.
Your generous donations were greatly appreciated as we beat our £1,000 target and raised £1,122.49 for Cavendish Cancer Care.
Thanks also to Jeff and Doug for opening the car park and ensuring cars were safely parked throughout a day with blistering heat
We will be repeating this method of admission for the Villareal friendly so why not park in the nearest public car park to the ground and raise money for such a worthwhile local charity.
Our SMILE Ticket scheme is the perfect way to give the gift of a free match at Hillsborough to someone who deserves it. Previous seasons have seen us not only reach out to those who are battling medical conditions and groups of schoolchildren, but also to other fans who, for whatever reason, have seen their love of the Owls take a back seat to the issues facing them in their lives. So we thought - why not make SMILE available to deserving Wednesdayites across the entire SWFC family?
