From the Sixties we have Jack Whitham, whose legendary hat-trick against Man U drove Wednesday to a 5-4 win in 1968. From the Seventies there's Rodger Wylde, who scored 25 goals in the 1976-77 season alone. From the Eighties how about Carl Shutt, whose equaliser in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Everton will live on in the memories of Owls forever? Hirsty himself needs no introduction and is our representative of the Nineties, and for the current generation then we have none other than the Goal Machine himself, Gary Madine!
And if all of the above wasn't enough, the night will be hosted by a man who is a Hillsborough legend himself - not only for his goals but also for his unbiased and understated commentary on Wednesday games on the radio, John Pearson.
Held at Hillsborough on Wednesday November 2nd (doors open 7pm for a 7:30 start), our Hirsty's Bar Strikers Night is sure to be an absolutely fascinating and hilarious trip down memory lane, as well as a chance to get the thoughts of one man who must be thinking that he could become a Wednesday legend as well!
Tickets are £9.95 for Wednesdayite members, £11.95 for non-members and includes a pie and pea supper. Simply use our form below to book your place at what promises to be the event of the Autumn!
